Teddy was usually the happy prefect, he had always been a happy boy. He had been a happy baby, he had grown up with much laughter and good times, but there were days, like this day, where he would not be that same happy boy. He was sitting at Hogwarts, it being summer, and in his favorite and least favorite spot. He was sitting at the memorial stones. They had the names of his parents who had died on May 2 so many years prior. And he was feeling a little sorry for himself, but also, just down. He missed them, though he never knew them. They were the kind of people he would have loved to be around, his mum was quite the joker and clumsy, his dad was a little more serious because of his condition but a loyal and protective man.
His is fingers brushed the names on the stone. So many people. So many names. Tears prickled his eyes and for once, his hair wasn't going crazy with all sorts of colors. It was a plain brown color and it was hanging loosely a around his face. "Why did you have to do it?" He asked in spite of being proud to be their son and proud of the sacrifice, he still felt pain and emptiness. He never talked about it to anyone. Except Harry, his godfather. He had lost his own parents to Lord Voldemort many years prior as well, and he had been the chosen one, though along with him many others chose that role for themselves. He admired everyone's sacrifice but his parents most of all, he hated it though too. He sometimes wondered why he wasn't good enough to keep them around, but he had never expressed it to anyone, he doubted he would either.
"Oh I'm sorry." He gushed when he saw someone else move. "I am not used to anyone else being here at this time of year." He said quietly dabbing the tears from the corners of his eye and stepping back, knowing that whoever else was there was probably there to see about a relative of loved ones name, his vision was blurry and he placed his glasses back on and his hair color shifted to a almost natural white shade with tinge of teal. His eyes were crystal blue, as they often were.
