PERSONALITY
[attr="class","fbidossiertxtboxy"]Scorpius is the very obvious son of Draco Malfoy and Astoria Greengrass, having inherited not only their looks but also their personalities. He has a strong sense of elitism, but it's not so strong that it overwhelms his personality. No, it just makes him proud of his heritage, and a little more tolerant than his parents were of lesser bloods in their Hogwarts days. He's very smart, and witty on top of it, quick-tongued and enjoying battles of wit with others - as long as he wins, of course. He has a tendency to get on people's nerves for the sort of confident arrogance he possesses, but he's also softer than he seems at first glance. He's incredibly sensitive, and intuitive to the feelings of others. However he tries to hide how emotional he can be because it feels like a weakness, the way he feels like he wears his heart out on his sleeve.
However with being more sensitive comes with being moody, and god does this boy have mood swings. He can be friendly and daring one minute, and irritated and high-strung the next. He's very meticulous about what he does, careful and cautious, to the point it can get annoying when he tries to take command of something in a bossy manner. However he's loyal most of all, to his friends and to his family, and to the things that he's just starting to believe in.

HISTORY
[attr="class","fbidossiertxtboxy"]When Scorpius was born into the Malfoy family, his father Draco resolved that he wouldn't have the same upbringing as himself, and with his wife in agreement, he was raised not to be so overwhelmingly critical of lesser bloods. A better, more tolerant pureblooded upbringing, but a pureblooded upbringing all the same. He was groomed to be a young heir of the prestigious Malfoy family and so he still has that elite air about him, that subtle pride that purebloods seem to possess. It was probably for these reasons, along with ingrained values of tradition and natural ambition rooted within him to prove himself as better than past generations of Malfoys, that he was sorted into Slytherin house when he arrived at Hogwarts.
Though he made friends mainly in Slytherin like his father did before him, he's always been open to other friendships, and has made the acquaintance of Ravenclaws that enjoy debate and eccentric conversations, things that have opened his mind. In his first year he learned more than he would've dreamed, just from other people and not even from his classes. Regardless though, he did well in them, achievement meaning quite a lot to him and the Malfoy family has never had a shortage of brains.
Though he enjoys the casual rivalry between the Gryffindors and Slytherins, he probably enjoys it a little too much. He's pretty interested in making proper friends with those Weasleys or even the Potters after all, even though his father had such a significant rivalry with their parents. But only time will tell whether they'll all end up getting along, or whether Scorpius's arrogance and elitism is still too much for these families.
