PERSONALITY

[attr="class","fbidossiertxtboxy"]Win is a handsome man, with a handsome personality. He is energetic and loves to do things right by people. He has never used his ability to hurt people, and it came at a middle age in the midst of a crisis. He has mostly peaceful views, he doesn't like violence and prefers helping people. He is rather secretive about himself and about his life in general. Win isn't confrontational and walks away from fights more often then not. He is passive when it comes to most things, choosing to be easy going and fun-loving rather then harsh. He has a secretive job, so he never talks about it, doing the things that he is supposed to without talking about them.

He is understanding and patient beyond most people, having experienced many years, he has learned may virtues that others haven't. He grows lonely and reserved at points, but mostly chooses to work more or do other things to occupy himself. He is always busy, always trying to stay busy. He writes for fun, laughs with people often, and works at the hospital from time to time, having been certified in healing in his youth.

HISTORY

[attr="class","fbidossiertxtboxy"]Baldwin was born in June of the late 1800s to a poor family that had five children. His father worked the railroad and at the hospital barely making it, his mother worked as a private tutor to squibs to teach them at a time when they were not valued at all. He was the youngest of the five, with one older sister and three older brothers. He was also the sickest, being a sickly child, he only got well enough at times to attend school, he was sorted into the house of Hufflepuff. He struggled through his school years, lost all of his family to a plague that spread rampantly through the rural home in France they lived in, and he was left to fend for himself.
He lost them in his sixth year at school and was uprooted by that emotionally. He learned to cope with it but remained sick. He graduated top of his classes and managed to find a decent job at the St Mungos. He proceeded to be trained in it and for a time everything was going well for it. Then it changed, he grew steadily sicker and it as determined that he was dying from a heart condition, he would never be able to go on if something didn't change. One of the hospital staff was a vampire and they but him while he lay ill in bed. He awoke several days later no longer in the hospital and with highly attuned senses. He could feel people's emotions and the craving for food was no longer the same it was a bloodlust. He realized what happened and wept he would have preferred death to such a punishment. Having to live as something that would just hurt others, he couldn't bear the thought, he wanted to die, he would never see his parent while alive, nor his siblings. He cursed the vampire who turned him, until they surfaced and explained that he could still go on, he could have a life, he could hold a job and no longer feel ill. He could make a difference to people. He wondered how but then it was explained that the hospital would provide him blood and that he could work around any complications if he wanted his job back. He knew he couldn't go back, not now.

For several years he hide in seclusion trying to adapt to the new found sensations and feeling that came from being turned. Once he had a grasp on it he applied for a private job at the minstry as an unspeakable and was granted the job. He has been working at it now for quite some time to advance in life to someplace new though he is uncertain what step is the next step. He knows that the only family he could have would have to be vampires, he wouldn't be able to have a family that he would have to watch die sometime later on, so he knows he has to have a family the same as him.
